Dino Morea, who has shared screen space with many Bollywood stars and carved his niche in films like ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’, ‘Raaz’, and ‘Aksar’, joined the chorus of praise.

“The way Bobby has got his chance to shine in ‘Animal’ and Akshaye in ‘Dhurandhar’ is incredible,” he said.

A look back: Dino’s own journey

Reflecting on his career, Dino noted how stardom functioned differently during his peak years. “When I had ‘Raaz’ as a success or ‘Aksar’ as a success, there was really no social media. People watched the films in theatres, and that word-of-mouth from the audience carried everything,” he explained.

Dino shared that ‘Raaz’ reached audiences from remote villages to metropolitan cities.

“Even today, people associate me with those films, and that’s a beautiful feeling,” he said.

How digital platforms are changing the game

Comparing the past with today, Dino emphasised how digital platforms have transformed visibility. “Now, you don’t even need to see the film in a theatre. Clips, songs, and moments are everywhere online, spreading faster and wider than ever,” he said.

He believes that if he had debuted in today’s age with a role like Bobby’s in ‘Animal’ or Akshaye’s in ‘Dhurandhar’, the response would have been just as explosive.

“I would probably have the same craze that they are enjoying today. And I feel fantastic for both of them because they are brilliant,” Dino added.
